Our visit to the Scarborough Faire

my ladies
Daughter #1's choir was performing at the Scarborough Faire in Waxahachie. The family got into the spirit of things and we rented costumes for the event. I went as a monk, K was a beautiful damsel and the girls were damselettes. Check out fotogs from the event here. Much fun and highly recommended.

rogers hotel
We stayed at the nice old Roger's Hotel. We had a huge room, the staff was very pleasant and easy to work with, and it sits right on the town square across from the Ellis county courthouse and convenient to several shops and restaurants. We'll be staying there again the next time we are up that way.

First Post, Woot...

At the behest of some friends I've started this blog about my stay at home dad life.

I was recently laid off at work, and with the nice severance package given, have taken at least a sabbatical through the summer. Depending on how things work out hopefully I can extend my stay at home duties longer. My wife, K, is kicking ass at work and making good money. My plan is to get our household and finances in such a shape that I can stay at home for awhile.
